Understanding Stress and
its impact

This, first section of the workshop, is conducted
in the form of an Interactive Seminar. It gives comprehensive understanding
of mental stress and its causes. We believe stress management techniques
will be most useful, when the participant understands the complex
phenomenon of stress. It further explains the impact of stress on
the mind and the medical model of its effect on the body. Symptoms
and illnesses caused by stress are also explained. This allows participants
to identify stress in themselves and others around them. Then with
the help of two questionnaires participants quantify their stress
at their job and their ability to cope with stress in general. At
the end of this section, participants are curious and eager to learn
and practice various stress management techniques.
